Wednesday and Sunday nights are going to look a little different during the summer. Here is the Wednesday schedule that will be in effect from June 5 through August 28:

  • 5:00-6:00 pm Dinner
  • 6:15-7:45 pm Student Ministry Epicenter
  • 6:15-6:45 pm Worship (for adults and children)
  • 6:45-7:45 pm Children’s Ministry
  • 6:45-7:45 pm Prayer & Discussion
  • 6:45-7:45 pm Life Groups

In addition, Home Fellowship Groups will be scheduled on Sunday evenings throughout the summer and the “Introduction to the Life of Christ” Missional Life Institute foundational course will be offered on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Here is a brief explanation of the different components in store for you this summer:

Worship (Wednesdays @ 6:15 pm)

Wednesday evening worship is designed to be a drop-in event for children and adults. (Students will continue with their regular Wednesday programming and will not participate in this worship experience.) “Come when you can get there and stay as long as you can” is the gist of this opportunity. Contact Kevin Cook for more information or if you want to be part of helping to lead in this worship experience.

Prayer & Discussion (Wednesdays @ 6:45 pm)

A new opportunity being launched this summer is a time of concerted corporate prayer and small group discussions based on the sermon from the previous Sunday. After spending time praying for our church and community, you will have the opportunity to participate in a discussion group to share your ideas for applying the previous Sunday’s sermon with each other. Discussion questions will be provided to help these small groups discuss and apply the sermon. Contact Bob Block for more information.

Life Groups (Wednesdays @ 6:45 pm)

You will still be able to lead or participate in a Life Group on Wednesday nights if that is your desire. Groups are welcomed and encouraged to start whenever they would like during the summer. Contact Brian Dembowczyk if you are interested in leading a Life Group. The men’s and women’s ministries may also meet during this time if there is interest.

Missional Life Institute (Sundays @ 4:00 pm)

One of the MLI foundational courses, “Introduction to the Life of Christ,” will be offered on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the Dining Room. This group will begin meeting Sunday, June 2. Feel free to join in on this group and bring some refreshments for you and for a few others if you would like. (There will be no childcare available for this event.) Home Fellowship Groups (Sunday evenings)

We are in the process of recruiting several church members to open their homes for Sunday evening fellowship groups during the summer. Hosts are asked to make their homes available between one and three times during the summer for others to come to and enjoy a time of fellowship together. These homes, the dates and times, and other information will be posted soon for others to sign-up. Contact Bob Block for details, or if you are interested in hosting a group.
