“Finding US” Overview
Let’s face it, while marriage is one of the most rewarding relationships God created, it’s also hard. Some might even say “impossible” and I’d agree when we’re trying to do it
without His help. After 30 years of wedded bliss (and some other descriptors) Deborah and I are just beginning to learn how to do it God’s way. This conference is designed to help couples discover how to have an abundant marriage using Biblical principles that are “simple” not “easy”. We’ll have plenty of fun, but also learn (experientially) what it means to be happily married by living according to God’s “design” and by using His “tools”. In our time together we’ll explore:

    • Understand conflict so you can actually have a chance at resolving it.
    • Learn the three vital components of every dialogue
    • How we’ve been created to be “needy” and ways those biological needs can be practically met
    • How to fight in a way that not only doesn’t create distance between you and your spouse but actually leaves you feeling closer
    • Use your head as well as your heart to express and communicate love
    • How to find “US”…the most important part of any relationship
    • Understand our spouse and not only accept their differences but learn to celebrate them
    • Figure out just what God might be “up to” in our relationships

Whether you want to make a bad marriage good, or a good marriage great…there’s something for everyone.

So please join us as we seek to discover how to honor God, marriage and each other in our most valuable relationship!

About Deborah & Darin Saley

Deborah and Darin Saley have been married for almost 30yrs.  They have four beautiful children and one grandchild.  They developed a passion for marriage and relationship coaching when God called Darin out of the corporate world.

In 2010 he accepted a position as the Director of Marriage Programs for Live the Life Ministries to help implement a multi-million dollar healthy marriage initiative grant.

If you had asked them to describe their marriage, they (like many married couples) would have said it was “good”. However, as they began to embrace and apply the principles they were learning and teaching as certified marriage coaches, they (along with others) began to notice their own marriage was slowly being transformed by God’s truths into a “great” one through marriage and relationship education “MRE”.

MRE is not therapy but is often highly therapeutic. It can help individuals and couples get unstuck by having successful, experienced Individuals or couples come alongside of those who want to learn and benefit from their coaches years of marriage experience, mistakes, and training.

For the last nine years, Darin and Deborah have been mentoring and coaching pre-married and married couples seeking enrichment as well as those in crisis through intensives, retreats, weekend conferences, individual/couples sessions and through marriage mentor certification trainings. Whether you are simply seeking to learn how to have a healthy relationship, in a good relationship that you want to make better, or in crisis…they would love to be used by God to help you!

Interested in Becoming a Marriage Mentor?

Darin and Deborah also offer a course designed to certify participants as mentors who can lead/facilitate “Finding US” programs in their churches, small groups or communities. The course includes one instructor’s manual, leader’s guide/outline, and a sample participant workbook all designed to equip a facilitator to conduct sessions in a classroom, small group, one-on-one or couple-on-couple setting. Couples who are interested in this kind of ministry should attend our February 21-22 event also.
