FBC Tampa Calls Next Generations Pastor Trent Roseman

FBC Tampa is pleased to announce that it has called Trent Roseman to serve as Next Generations Pastor effective April 16, 2018. FBC welcomes Trent with his wife, Jessie, and son, Judah, to the FBC family. We are excited to see how God will use them to lead our College and Student ministries to reach our city and the nations for Christ!

Dear Church Family,

For the last nine months, FBC Tampa has been searching for God’s man to join our ministry team and to lead the Student and College (Next Generation) ministries of our church. Hundreds of resumes were submitted and many candidates were considered throughout the search. At times the process has been challenging for the search team, but we believe that in the end, the process has paid off and God has led us to just the right man for our ministry to students and their families.

Therefore, it is with great excitement that the Personnel Committee and Next Generation Pastor Search Team introduce Rev. Trent Roseman. Trent and his wife Jessie, along with their 3 month old son, Judah, currently live in Little Rock, Arkansas where Trent serves as the Student Pastor and Assistant to the Executive Pastor at a church called That.Church. In his current role, Trent leads a student ministry of around 200 students and is also in charge of the Connection/Assimilation ministry for the church as a whole.

Prior to his calling to That.Church, Trent served as the Next Generation Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, Missouri. While still in college, he was asked to serve as a pulpit supply preacher for Rondo Baptist Church in Flemington, Missouri. The people of the church loved and appreciated Trent so much that they called him to serve as the Lead Pastor.

Trent is a gifted communicator who is dedicated to discipling young people through the systematic teaching of God’s Word. He is also committed to coming alongside parents to help equip them to be the primary disciplers of their own children. In addition to being a gifted communicator, Trent enjoys building relationships with the students he serves. He is an organized minister who utilizes various methods to communicate with the students and families involved in Next Gen. Ministry including the use of Social Media to connect with students and parents.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies from Southwest Baptist University and is currently working toward a Master of Divinity degree.

Jessi loves to serve alongside Trent in ministry especially building relationship and discipling young woman. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Development and is fluent in American Sign Language.
