Thrive Camp was established by the student ministry of First Baptist Tampa in 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. With most camps closing down during the summer, the staff at FBC came up with the idea to host their own camp and invite other churches to participate. The idea behind the camp was to involve youth/student pastors of other like minded churches and give them the opportunity to speak during the morning worship experiences at the camp. Thrive Camp is a yearly beach summer camp experience at Laguna Beach Christian Retreat for 6-12th grade students and includes beach games, exciting worship experiences, sound Biblical teaching, engaging small groups, and competitive, yet fun team challenges. ​ We would love for you to sign up for Thrive Camp 2026 hosted from July 12-16th at Laguna Beach Christian Retreat in Panama City Beach, Florida! We offer a delicious and affordable breakfast every Sunday morning from 8:30 to 9:15 AM. It’s a great way to start the day before heading to Sunday Core Groups, which meet from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
