Vacation Bible School Recap

Just wanted to give you a few statistics from the week at Vacation Bible School:

We enrolled 175 children in VBS and had an average attendance of 137. You might be interested to know that on Monday we had 133 in attendance and ended the week on Friday with 140 in attendance. We had at least 100 children participate in Family Night. We only had enough cookies because Olwen Peters went into her cookies stash for us!

Upcoming First Steps Course Opportunity

The next First Steps Course will be held on Sunday, July 21 from 5:30-8:30 pm in the LifeTree Cafe. This course is designed for anyone who is exploring becoming a member of FBC Tampa and for those who are completing their membership process. The course walks participants through the purpose and vision of FBC Tampa and some of the church’s basic beliefs. Read more

Bible Study Core Group Leader Dessert

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher David Price is in the middle of a rather unusual situation with an umpire. Apparently, some words were exchanged between the two at a game on Sunday and Major League Baseball is presently investigating. Price claims the umpire cursed at him. The umpire claims Price is lying. While it’s not unusual for umpires and players to exchange words – even heated ones at times – what is rather unusual is for this to flare up to the point of being a news story. Read more
