Awana is back! Starting Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Kick-off / orientation August 23, 2017 starts at 6:15 p.m. in the Kid’s Zone. Clubbers meet regularly from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday. Awana is a club designed for children 2yrs (as of September 1st) through 5th grade. Clubbers are encouraged to memorize and learn the Word of God during Handbook Time, study His Word during Large Group Time and play hard during Game Time. Parents who are new to Awana are asked to meet at 6:20pm on August 23, 2017 with Stephanie Teasley for a brief orientation.
The Chronological Bible Reading Plan for 2017 is now available online for those who wish to use it to read through the bible this year. We will continue to review readings each week during our services, as our desire is to know His Word intimately as the Body of Christ. Printed versions are available in the Church Office. Further, you may feel free to download the YouVersion Bible app for further insight and study. You can find this amazing app at youversion.com.
On a balmy Florida Monday morning 25 students jumped on the bus and in the van to venture far from home to another county to serve orphans, children in crisis and families in need through the Florida Baptist Children’s Home for iServe 2017. The Children’s Home, is not just one home but rather several homes thoughtfully arranged on a tree lined cul de sac around a large playground with a traditional white wooden chapel as it’s anchor. That historic chapel with stained glass windows and wooden pews became our home for the week.
