Vacation Bible School Recap

Just wanted to give you a few statistics from the week at Vacation Bible School:

We enrolled 175 children in VBS and had an average attendance of 137. You might be interested to know that on Monday we had 133 in attendance and ended the week on Friday with 140 in attendance. We had at least 100 children participate in Family Night. We only had enough cookies because Olwen Peters went into her cookies stash for us!

We had a couple of  children state that they wanted to know more about what it means to be a Christian and we had over 19 families that either said they did not have a church home or did not answer the question on the registration form about a church home.  We are in the process of doing follow-up visits to these individuals. At least 15 people plus their children have been involved in the follow-up visitation. Some more people are needed to make more contacts.

I have received several very positive e-mails from people who attended VBS.  They are very grateful for all you put into making VBS a special week.

In case you have not heard, the girls won the overall competition for the offering.  On Thursday several of us took a check of over $1,100 and many needed items to Amazing Love Ministries.  The Amazing Love Ministries directors were overwhelmed with the children’s generosity!

Our extra Colossal Coaster World t-shirts and some of the gently used curriculum will be going with Barbara Alling to Idaho on a missions trip!  Two other churches are slated to use our materials also.

Thank you again for an amazing week.

Please be praying for nine of our children as we go to camp this week.  We leave tomorrow and will come back on July 4.
